Information we collect
We may collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, phone number, profile details, support messages, event registrations, and account credentials.
We may receive limited billing or transaction details from payment providers to manage subscriptions, renewals, failed payments, refunds, and support.
We may collect portal usage data, device and browser information, login history, attendance confirmations, event participation, course progress, community activity, live-room messages, direct messages, uploaded files, screenshots, and trade journal content.
Cookies, analytics, and communications
We may use cookies, local storage, analytics tools, logs, and similar technologies for authentication, preferences, diagnostics, performance, security, and service improvement.
We may send onboarding emails, account notices, billing messages, event reminders, support replies, security alerts, and promotional communications, subject to applicable law and your available choices.
How information is used
- Provide and manage accounts, memberships, subscriptions, courses, workshops, events, and community access.
- Operate live rooms, recordings, journal tools, notifications, and support workflows.
- Personalize the portal, including event timing, profile display, notifications, and content visibility.
- Detect abuse, investigate reports, enforce policies, and protect CTU and users.
- Improve content, features, performance, moderation, and operational reliability.
How information is shared
We may share information with service providers that help us operate the portal, including hosting, authentication, communications, streaming, storage, billing, scheduling, analytics, moderation, and security providers.
We may disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce agreements, investigate misuse, protect rights or safety, or support a financing, merger, sale, or restructuring.
Google Business Profile data
If a CTU super administrator chooses to connect a Google Business Profile, CTU requests access only to manage the CTU Business Profile review integration. The connection is made by the administrator through Google's OAuth consent process and can be revoked through the Google Account permissions page or by contacting CTU.
For this feature, CTU retrieves Business Profile review information available to the authorized CTU account, including reviewer display name, star rating, review text, review date, and CTU's reply when present. CTU uses that information to synchronize reviews into the Portal, choose reviews for display on CTU public pages, and operate the review-management workflow.
Google authorization tokens are stored encrypted at rest and are not displayed to students or public-site visitors. We do not sell Google Business Profile data or use it for advertising. We retain synchronized review records and connection information only as long as needed to operate the integration, meet recordkeeping obligations, resolve issues, or comply with law.
Community, live rooms, and recordings
User content posted in community spaces, shared channels, live-room chat, comments, or similar areas is not private and may be visible to other users who have access to those spaces.
Live classes, trading rooms, workshops, Q&A sessions, and community sessions may be recorded, transcribed, summarized, and replayed. Your participation, voice, image, messages, and submitted content may appear in those recordings.
Retention, security, and privacy choices
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the portal, maintain records, support security and moderation, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information, but no system can be guaranteed completely secure.
You may update certain account details and profile settings through the portal or by contacting CTU. Some records may be retained where reasonably necessary or legally required.
Children and contact information
Children under 18 are not permitted to use the portal.
CTU does not claim full compliance with every law in every jurisdiction. We address privacy matters carefully and to the maximum extent reasonably possible under applicable law.
